Erica Cochran

Described as a “true coloratura with high notes to spare,” Cochran has been hailed for her “flexible voice,” and “mastery of comic timing.” She continues to make a name for herself and captivate audiences throughout the country.

In 2010, she performed the role of Marie in La Fille du Régiment with Union Avenue Opera Theater in St. Louis, MO, for which she received critical acclaim for the quality of her performance: “Cochran displays a lovely coloratura soprano voice that's ideally suited for Donizetti's expressive compositions as Marie. Cochran's playful performance is endearing...” Other performances with Union Avenue Opera Theater include Suor Genivieffa in Suor Angelica and Nella in Gianni Schicchi in 2007. In 2005, Erica made her professional opera debut with Opera Memphis singing the role of Sylvianne in The Merry Widow.

Erica has worked extensively with Opera Vivente in Baltimore, MD, singing roles such as Clorinda in Cinderella, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Eurydice in Orpheus in the Underworld and Despina in Così fan tutte

Past operatic engagements have included Adèle in Rossini’s Le Comte Ory, Gretel in Hansel and Gretel, Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro, Serpetta in La finta giardiniera and Cupid in Eccles Semele.
